During the 10th anniversary event, Riot Games has announced that they are working on an all-new FPS Game called Project A (development codename.)

There is not much detail shared currently but we are expecting that it will be released sometimes in 2020.

Here’s the information from press release:

“Project A” (temporary codename) is a stylish, competitive, character-based tactical shooter for PC currently in development at Riot Games.

The game has a lethal cast of characters with abilities that create unique opportunities for your gunplay to shine, with a new, mature, more grounded IP that takes place on a near-future Earth.

Riot is committed to providing a best-in-class technical experience to preserve the competitive integrity that serious FPS players care about, like: low ping, great global server infrastructure, accessible frame rates, and an unwavering commitment to anti-cheat.

Anna Donlon is the Executive Producer on the character-based tactical shooter video game (codename: Project A), currently in development at Riot Games.

Leading a team of veteran game developers, Anna steers the direction and production of the recently announced competitive PC shooter. Earlier in her career, Anna honed her expertise in the games industry at the renowned FPS studio Treyarch, working as a Senior Producer on AAA titles, including Call of Duty®: Black Ops 1 & 2, among others.

After joining Riot in 2015, Anna took on the role of Lead Producer for all of League of Legends’ cosmetic content and in-game events, shipping League’s most iconic alternate universes, thematics, and game modes, including Star Guardian, Odyssey, PROJECT, and K/DA. In her current role as Executive Producer on Project A, Anna leverages over twenty years of game development experience and a passion for competitive shooters to lead Riot Games’ first foray into the tactical FPS game genre.
